Abstract

The Co2+ single doped and Co2+, Fe3+ co-doped anatase TiO2 nanoparticles have been fabricated by hydrothermal method. Characteristics of materials are studied by physical methods: X-ray diffraction method (XRD); scanning electron microscopy method (SEM); energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS); UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy method. The photocatalyst properties of the TiO2 nanoparticles samples were studied to decompose methylene blue dyes under illumination by ultraviolet light and visible light. The results showed that, Co2+, Fe3+ co-doped anatase TiO2 nanoparticlesthat enhance the photocatalytic efficiency compared with Co2+ single-doped TiO2 and much higher than non-doped TiO2 after irradiation by ultraviolet light and visible light.
