Abstract

This study investigated the removal of ciprofloxacin (CIF) from aqueous solutions using the titanosilicate ETS-10 at 307 K. The effects of key operational parameters, including pH, contact time, and initial CIF concentration, were evaluated. The results indicated that the optimal conditions for CIF removal were achieved at pH = 6 with a contact time of 180 min. Equilibrium data were better described by the Langmuir-1 linear isotherm model than others, yielding a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of 24.86 mg/g at 307 K. This performance compares favorably with several other reported adsorbents, suggesting that ETS-10 is a promising material for treating CIF-contaminated medical wastewater
