Study on the textile wastewater treatment process by the coagulation combined MOF-composite photocatalyst method utilizing sunlight

Abstract

This article presents the study on the textile wastewater treatment process by the coagulation combined MOF-composite photocatalyst method ultilizing sunlight. PAC (poly amluminium chloride) was used as inorganic flocculant. MOF-composite (PVA/AC-FeBDC) was synthesized from Fe2+ ions, benzene 1,4-dicarboxylic acid (BDC), PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) and AC (activated carbon). It was found that the method was effective for the treatment of textile wastewater. After treatment, the degradation efficiency of COD, color and TSS reached 85.3%, 95% and 63.4%, respectively. The treated water was accepted as the B-type domestic wastewater according to Vietnam National Technical Regulation on Industrial Wastewater (QCVN 13:2015/BTNMT).
